Civil service.. https://x.com/rebecca_ryder21/status/2032260201709981977?s=20 Years ago when I worked at the MoD, they got a company (it may have been ICL) to design a very complex computer system to control defense procurement. 'Landscape'. Designed to replace the system that the subcontractor I was working for ran, 'PROMIS' (very well) for them. It cost millions, all the staff were trained to use it. Eventually scrapped.
