adieu /ə-dyoo͞′, ə-doo͞′/ interjection Used to express farewell. Good-by farewell an expression of kind wishes at parting. Similar: good-byfarewell Said to wish a fond farewell good-bye.
(I think of it as farewell, go with god, won't see you ever again, final goodbye, etc. not listed abouv in 'The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition •' I copied it from. Oh well nevermind .. i'm sure the french are thinking, bye!!! fukcez offez
