I've got a 12inch fan, runnning on lowest setting, going into a voltage dropper (series of resistors) can

slow fan to a crawl, at normal speed and 4 settings between the two.
Have it on 2, running at about 350 rpm??
position 5 = slowest, position 1 = normal speed of fan (on ether of its two push button settings, fast is maybe 5000 rpm??)
Take it up to bed, bring it down in the day (only while it's this hot otherwise just keep it in th bedroom. )

I've got a 4 blade standard ceiling fan .. french style with 4 lights under the blades,. I did have it up in the lounge for a while a few years back, nice levels of slower spin control, reversible for summer /winter spin direction ... I might get it out again... every day I check the waather forcast the relief in temp is pushed further back. Saw lightening in the east sky early this am (3 am) but no sign of any relief, 37 tomorrow, and I'll be out and about as per

re: she won't have it ... probably why I'm single.
