It's small things, if you don't enforce the laws, people will just take advantage. Stayed in the city for a week on my US trip, enjoyable place, I remember walking down on the pier, the wild seals lounging on the planks. Trip to Alcatraz. And Chinatown was amazing, huge, largest outside mainland China at the time. But humans are like that - stop cleaning the streets, and people street them as a tip. Thankfully here we have pretty tidy streets, and people do voluntary beach clean ups every weekend. Hopefully the tide will turn in Ol 'Frisco. Edited on 26/04/2026 at 10:31:36.
