In order to ,popularize Christianity they incorporated lots of stuff from other religions , multiple ( but one actually ) gods, cults of female adoration ( Mary ), winter light festivals (Xmas ) , spring fertility festivals (Easter etc etc. All decided and agreed at the Council of Nicaea 300 years after the supposed life of one Jesus.
