When the hurricane blew down the wires passing in front of the hotel , leaving them dangling from poles etc , I sought to have them replaced with an underground conduit. I contacted the electricity company but talked to some brain dead bimbo who had no clue. So I waited till the crew arrived to fix the wires. I asked the foreman if he could do it. He looked puzzled , we did that years back he said. All the cables in front of the hotel run underground. So what are these poles and wires I asked. They are dead he said. Previous moronic management had paid for the cables to be put underground but not bothered to remove the poles and dead wires which was the whole point of putting them under ground. We took them down that afternoon.
