Might be increasingly difficult to sell your house to finance emigration, until the stamp duty and council tax issue is sorted. Really amateurish of govt to float these ideas without any substance. Buyers will hold off hoping to save money. Or perhaps deliberate? Paralyse the housing market to reduce flight Edited on 27/07/2026 at 16:03:10.
