and no shutters in UK. I've got the electric one mostly down on the front, 2 of the three bedroom shutters

closed, and today for the fisrst time the smaller downstairs south window. In addition I put two silver foil car windscreen thingies on the outside of the cellar door (leads to side street, next to barn garage door).
This full south and the double wooden cellar doors do get hot. Should help maintain 26 max in lounge. Could get it better if I had a) shutters on south east bathroom window (that I opened up), a better front door,.. etc etc. etc.
It's alright though, and a massive improvement on what it was when I arrived, even with the bathroom window opened up (it's double lined,... got the UPVC patio door on the internal side, makes massive difference)
If it gets to 40 outside and 28 in the lounge, 29 in the bedroom could always take a camp bed down to the cellar.
I actually thought about going up to the marie earlier to see if I can of any use. Might go wednesady as out most of tomorrow.

THe poor sods/smart alec assoles who buy the modern single story bungalow type affairs, they'll be running the ac/heat punps flat out. No where for the heat to go, just goes into attic crawl space and beats down on the ceiling .. (you know, to save the planet) that's whay they tell me anyway/ .. and anyone living in a loft flat, they have my symphathy.
