The theme tune for Ski Sunday is a piece of library music called "Pop Looks Bach" by the English composer Sam Fonteyn. Composer: Sam Fonteyn recorded the track in 1970. Inspiration: The title refers to the fact that the song is loosely based on J.S. Bach's famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Instrumentation: It features a lively mix of strings, brass, percussion, and a Hammond organ. Usage: Beyond Ski Sunday, the BBC also used the iconic tune for its Winter Olympics coverage up until 2006
