10% are go getters, 90% plodders. A stat I heard recently. To be a go getter and born in 1746, 1846, 1946,.. makes not so much difference. The cream will always rise to the top. However with the invention of the welfare state and the general creep to left-leaning liberalistic attitudes, being born in 1946 was an absolute godsend to the 90% plodder class. Of those 90%, 40% went on to work for governments in one form or another. Having any kind of higher education (plodder's paradise) meant automatic promotion to 'management' 'cadre' type roles and benefits, most of which we still see today though more concentrated in the upper echelons as gravy train benefits have seem some pruning on new hires post 2015 ish.
All highly unionised: legal, medical, educashun, local government, government, police, army etc. This bunch of plodding order takers, (with a few of the 10% in their ranks bien sur) being born 1946-1964 have never had it so good. When I came to France in 2006 my step-daughter started in the first year (6em) of 'college' (11-15) and became friends with another 11yr old english girl .. her 55 yr old father, retired London Met Commander living the absolute life of riley on his massive pension. Born 1954, retired on massive pension 2004 after maybe 32 years of working.
This kind of wonderful life, getting paid 70+% of what your FINAL monthly salary, for the rest o your days, after retiring at 55!! is something that pre WW2 humans would have been laughed out the room/been amazed at/slavered over. To see the young faces of retired camping car enthusiasts today compared to that of those who still worked in industry etc into their 70s in pre WW2, it's striking.
Modern western societies, like all/many/some before are all collapsing because of their (minority) entitled classes. In the case of Russia where King Charles grandpa's cousin, Tzar Nico mowed down and killed hundereds of demonstators outside the winter palace, he refused to listen or change, and we get Lenin and the infectious reaction to capitalism where if you didn't work you got literally jack Shit. Today, predictably, after teh pendulum was swung way too far, we have those mini tzars, who cling to their benefits, insist on keeping them now and in the future, while at the same time are often most virtuous and shrill to inflict climate change stratergies on themselves and everyone else. They can of course afford electric cars, heat pumps, airport taxes, and generally higher 'climate' taxes ... they feel better about comsuming though if charged, in a quasi religious form of sufference, that must paid (out of their fat entitlements) to save the planet, it's only right and correct, and they are good people who care ... as they consume all the world's resources on endless cruises and take the most.
Witness doctors, looking to strike again for another 30% pa increase. The job-for-life, secure, heavily-unionized oved-paid under-worked early-to-retire to over-paid luxury while in it class,.... modern socialists ... while enjoying the benefits of a capitalist society., with supposed freedoms - really capitalism on the smaller scale is just the ability to do business within the law, free to be a millionare from the fruit of your small scale labour. ... and that of course has been under attack, in UK, France, by the nomcleture class of fonctionaires etc ......... because they are essentially stupid Cunts, quite happy to throw thier cultures under a bus in a life for today never mind the consequences money we ain't got splurg. Sure, import the third world to pay for my 34 yr retirement, I'm totally down with that, and I'll also be buying an electric car with 8k paid for by tax payer subsidies ... because I spent 35 years filling in forms at the council and was the boss of 25 other pen pushers. I'm practically Sam Walmart, I'm not unlike Henry Ford, I deserve my benefits by god. There needs to be some kind of reckoning because until you tackle that lot it's hard to deal with those on the other end of the spectrum who are given everything for doing nothing., in some case not inconsiderable sums, 3k a month kind of figure.
