Bing is a soft drink formerly produced by the Silver Spring Mineral Water Company Limited. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bing_(soft_drink) When I was at Leeds Uni., Northern friends (of friends) of mine from Blackburn and Burnley were obsessed with Bing, even though it was a Southern drink. They even made their bucket bongs with the product and delightfully named them 'bing bongs'.
