It boosts photosynthesis and allows plants to use water more efficiently by partially closing their leaf pores (stomata). Increased Vegetation & Carbon Uptake: Enhanced plant growth and higher photosynthetic activity in the southern Sahara lead to stronger CO₂ absorption from the atmosphere, turning parts of the changing desert into an enhanced carbon sink.
