really, 03 u could get a .. 1bed 50 sq meter flat there 4that?! It was a great time, they were still very much in the franc. The house inflation and subsequent rebound from 95 hadn't really come across the channel. UK still remained Treasure Island in that regard. Looking through houses in the village last night. Selling fast if half decent, prices pretty strong. 110-150 range. 10 years ago they would have been 55- 80 range. 25 years ago, 35-65 (total guesswork here) Also, something nice with a price tag of 350k. Yes, there are many properties at over 1/3rd of a million within 10 miles of here. THey are nice, but fook me, you look at what that would be in francs ..(6.5 times more ... 350,000 euros = errr...ffsake where's my phone I'm using the mac calculator 2,275,000 francs. The price for a 350k huron house in 1999 ... 320,000 francs. (??) = 49,600 hoorooes Ex owners of this place bought the house and barn in 85 for 45,000 francs. .. 6,900 hurooes (spookily enough this place was on the market for 46,500 hurooes when I first viewed it) that price of 320k francs, more likely 380k but I like the tie up with this place.
