Little tip, take a supermarket type plastic bag with you, without holes. When leaving the beach fill it with water, then after getting off the sandy bit paddle in the bag. Pour away water, fold and pocket bag for next time. I did that today as sandy beach I was at has 50m of sand between sea and parking areas.
