the plane's not just made of fragile aluminium though, or 'aluminun'. It's got a couple of big engines

and landing gear and weights more than if was scaled up hollow aluminium can (with or without coke in it).

Fuel: factor in the explosive force and temperature, likely over 2000 degrees and a pressure explusive force that blew out, you're not talking tin can hitting steel. You've got more mass, heat & pressure wave from the explosion.

Hang on let's see how much the plane weights

'What model was the 9/11 plane?
The aircraft involved in the hijacking was a Boeing 767-200ER with registration number, N334AA built and delivered in 1987. The capacity of the aircraft was 158 passengers (9 in first class, 30 in business class and 119 in economy class), but the September 11 flight carried 81 passengers and 11 crew members.'

'The 767-200ER, with a maximum takeoff weight of 395,000 pounds (179,170 kg), can take off on about 8,100 feet (2,480 m) of runway.'

'What is the fuel capacity of a 767 200?
24,140 US Gallons'

That's 180 tonnes of torpedo travelling at 400+mph and creating an explosion from the detonation of 20,000 gallons of jet fuel.

Hijackings
'The 767 has been involved in six hijackings, three resulting in loss of life,[185] for a combined total of 282 occupant fatalities.[187] On November 23, 1996, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961, a 767-200ER, was hijacked and crash-landed in the Indian Ocean near the Comoros Islands after running out of fuel, killing 125 out of the 175 persons on board[204] this was a rare example of occupants surviving a land-based aircraft ditching on water.[205][206] Two 767s were involved in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, resulting in the collapse of its two main towers. American Airlines Flight 11, a 767-200ER, crashed into the North Tower, killing all 92 people on board, and United Airlines Flight 175, a 767-200, crashed into the South Tower, with the death of all 65 on board. In addition, more than 2,600 people were killed in the towers or on the ground.[207] A failed shoe bomb attempt in December 2001 involved an American Airlines 767-300ER.[208][209]'

Do you have the video of the nose cone exiting the south tower, I'd like to see it (to believe it)
