New Cabinda refinery has just been commissioned in Angola. Your Dad likely worked on wells that were just starting to flow as the civil war started. Seems a proven territory for oil. Now being redeveloped after the hiatus. Gas too. Shallow offshore waters and also onshore in Kwanza basin.
