Had a consultation with the cardiologist this morning
turns out I don't have a Bicuspid Aortic valve after all (flipping NHS)
I do have a Partial anomalous pulmonary venous drainage (PAPVD) which the NHS missed and I would have had since birhy. (not as serious as a BAV and most dont need surgery)
I have some mild Aortic Root dilation, common with high intensity athletes but can also be caused by high blood pressure
so not too bad at all, been told not to squat really heavy weights and to keep any weights moderate. cycling is ok but moderate the real hard short efforts to 80%. so no more racing for me but can still train to a certain extent
overall could be worse
oh and fitness was excellent VO2 Max in the top 25% for males my age
