Jeremy Corbyn has stated he has distant Jewish ancestry, mentioning a "Jewish element" in his family, likely from Germany. However, he was raised Christian and has not practiced Judaism. A leading genealogist reported finding no evidence of Jewish ancestry in his direct maternal or paternal lines Starmer is married to a Jew (not for long).
