The useless fcuking government now demands you prove your identity if you are a director or owner of a UK company. You do this with a series of web sites and apps that are as bad as anything you have encountered. A final phase is that you scan the chip in your passport with a phone to confirm the photo you have already uploaded. If you live outside the UK this is the only way there is to confirm your identity. The problem I have is that the phone will not find the chip in my passport no matter how much I search. So I have no other way to prove my identity and apparently will be fined for not doing so. Unbelievable shyte.
