ESS thing. Interesting start
Landed Barcelona. Herded to the passport room. Bank of scanning machines, low level, eash with a scanner and a fingerprint thing. Showed the bloke my And card,a asked if I need to use them, Si he says, so scanned the PP. Nothing much happened, didn’t ask for fingerprints. Moved onto another bank of machines, these ones like you get at UK airports but with fingerprint scan things. Maybe 10 of them, about half roped off not working. Did that, got the facial rec thing. No fingerprints. Then had to go to the usual bloke at a PP desk. Showed him my card, stamped the passport anyway. Took about 5 mins all told.
Then got a bus to Andorra, where at the Spanish border half a dozen Argies or whatever got off and got their passports stamped as per usual (stamping out of the EU so as to not overstay)
Go figure.
