I could have bought 8 bitcoins for 2 grand in the summer of 2015. Or just 2 for 500$. If I'd bought 8 would I have held them to 118,000? Very doubtful. But if I had then my 2k investment would have paid for a hell of a lot of video equipment. ie I would have had 2k > pretty much 1 million. Of course I seem to remember being fairly skint in the summer of 2015 so didn't have 1 or 2 k lying around to hand.
