Expect more volatility perhaps...

'Last week, it was revealed that Trump Media is planning to charge hedge funds up to $100k per month for priority access to Donald Trump's tweets/posts…

Apparently due to begin on the 1st August…
And this is going to impact the markets moving forward.
You know how this works by now…
His posts move markets, like it or not, that's just how it is.
Remember April last year? One Truth Social post about pausing tariffs and the indices ripped higher in minutes.
And the funds react to that, so now some of them are going to pay to react faster.

Here's what I think it means for us.

#1 More market-moving posts, not fewer

Imagine the maths for a second.
Say they sign a few hundred firms at $100k each. That's a serious monthly number rolling in… at close to pure margin.
If you're running that business, you want your customers feeling like they're getting value. It's hard to see how that leads to a quieter feed.

#2 Expect more spikes

The priority players will be reacting to news the rest of us can't see yet.
And where there's an information gap, there's always someone trying to game it. (This is trading!)
I'd expect false spikes too… players trying to spoof the algos into thinking the fast money knows something. You can see how that gets messy…

#3 The timing is going to be more precise

With ‘clients’ paying for an information advantage, you have to wonder whether there's pressure around when things get posted, and perhaps what those posts say…
That’s pure speculation of course… but it's the kind of thing worth keeping in the back of your mind.

When would be a great time to post if you’re objective was to give your customers an even bigger edge? (And can we reverse engineer that?)

Anyway, it’s not set in stone yet, but worth wrapping your head around, as unless you’ve got 100 grand a month spare for a news feed, this is going to impact the intraday tape whilst he’s still in the top spot.
Markets may well be a totally different beast than we are used too…
