Out for a pint with no 2 last week. The JW Lees bitter in Wetherspoons was £3.29. Similar in next pub £4.50. Last year, same was around £2 in Wetherspoons and occasionally less. A few months ago in a Sam Smiths their bitter was under £3 as it has been for a year or two - and cheaper than Wetherspoons ( no debt see ) I think businesses with significant debt piles are passing this on and without IR cuts, this type of inflation becomes sticky.
