No. Uk has 20% Vat. We don’t. No sales tax either. Also we own the premises. Otherwise in spite of sales well over $2 million a year we would lose money on the restaurants. Course it is a major draw for the hotel where we do make money. The fillet is $30 per pound with a fair bit of waste , so about $17 on the plate for a 6-8 ounce one , the lobster has gone up to $11 per pound so it’s $22 on the plate for a whole one. Add all the UKs cost to that and it has to be much more expensive.
