Tell u what, saw in the local estate agent window yesterday, place down the road, 83k!!! It's a two up two down terraced setup that was built for social housing, (looks like someone actually bought one at some point) ... on the busyish road going out of the village although agent describes it as being in 'heart of the village'. Drop outs and french single mother drug dealers as immediate neighbours. Faces west so guaranteed to cook during the summer. Note back garden,.. a retaining wall alley where noise, like smells, from ajoining houses bound to carry, although there is a ivew of a donkey in the field from the upstairs window.

Met a guy yesterday, comes from Watford ... buying a house in a town 8 miles south, (saint amour) 30k. sounds EXACTLY like pepi. (it's' not him, just same accent) been living here 12 years, just splt from his english wife ... been waiting 6 days longer than planned for the money to be transferred so he can get keys!! living in 60quid a night B&Bs meanwhile!!

He had gone back to Watford and came back over via a blahblah car share, (40 quid, watford to here!! including ferry) to collect keys /move in, ... got a text on ferry, 'money not come through'. Still in limbo and no doubt 'easter not helping' (does it ever!!!)

That house down the rd for 83k. Course advertising it is one thing selling is another, but still ... prices 'strong'

This is the same agency (Assholes) who valued my place at 60k in summer 2023, pre barn purchase and when it was 'a real mess'. Sort of the height of clutter, where I had recieved much stuff from various people - door, windows, wood, etc. We had to squeeze into a space in the lounge to sit down. I thought his comeback with a 60k valuation lower end at the time but exactly what I thought he'd come back with. (he had initially knocked the door two days earlier to enquire about what was happeneing with Mike's house (guy who I looked after and died). I said sons heeping it but I'll be selling this at some point. He was so keen to waste his and my time giving it a valuation I agreed for posterity.
