WW1 should have ended with the battle of the Somme but 4kayers convinced Churchill to keep at it,.. through the usual way, saving his home from being reposessed, maybe also other incentives as well as assurances that 'the American cavalry will come!' Needless to say joined-at-the-hip french also recived same 'encourgment' at the top.
