Breaking News! News on the March!
The Techni Vorm Moccamaster coffee machine is not as good as a simple glass press coffee thing.

I have the KB GT model, although older than current model it's essentially better looking as the stainless jug is tapered to a narrower top and is a tighter fitting under the filter holder hood. The new model, following all current design mottos, if it works and works well let's break it, is not so good looking.
To be fair I have only tested it with the powder i've been using for the last 2weeks. I'll do a test with fresh ground, but .. I already knew this ... the glass tastes better as I've done the test before. .. so even if I get it back out from the garden, clean it, reglue the plastic top of the stainless flash that cracked when the cat knocked it off a plinth over a meter down onto the tile floor, this despite them saying the device is unbreakable, I already know what the results going to be.

The good news is that the drip drip when pouring from the cracked top is fixed.
Also, It's fast, it looks impressive, the coffee does stay hotter for longer ... but, as I say, the latest breaking news is - it just doesn't taste as good as the glass plunger, which is pretty shocking really/kind of sucks. (I will do a test with just ground to be sure sure (doubly sure))

(I'll give it a rinse through with bicarbonate of soda, and throughly clean the stainless pot. These findings should be available on line and at local newsagents no later than the end of august 2025.)
