Set up a recording device (if you have a phone like mine with an sd card memory slot and a headphone jack

you'll have plenty of space to record 8 hours of kitchen noise as well as a seperate high quaility mic if you want. .. as an aside you'll also be able to use a selfie stick by plugging the stick flex cable jack into the headphone jack and pressing the shutter button on the selfie stick to trigger the camera, and so take a selfie as you start fridge recording test. ... of course doing away with headphone jacks because, Apple means this device now won't work on new phones because, TIm Ccck knows best and Apple cut corners to save money and then tell customers they're bettter off!)
Record a night of fridge activity.
If the fridge comes on too often get rid of it by taking it to the Nice municipal dump on your bike or skateboard, go to Conforama (Curries of France), and spend 499 hwoross on a new 'crap marque as just for french market' fridge, ie 'Brant', or push the boat out, get a Samsung etc.
Sit back, and in 18 - 24 years it will have begun to pay for itself in old vs new fridge electric savings.
