I may have posted this before... But on a quiet Sunday in Warsaw, I noticed that the locals would wait for the pedestrian light to change before crossing, despite there being NO traffic. Maybe a remnant of Soviet days ? We, being acclimatised to French ways,, just walked across and ignored the signals.
