Pita, because we have British in our name Chinese send everything 220 v and 50 hertz if you don’t specify
different. Our system is American 115 v and 60 hertz . Mostly it doesn’t matter much. Our ancient but wonderful perkins generator that runs the whole place during the frequent power cuts is 50 hertz . When it’s on the fans squeak, the a/c goes into boost mode , lights are dimmer but annoyingly the Japanese toilets don’t work at all. . The inverter we have at the house is 50 hertz but we are swapping for a 50/60 hertz because I need those bum washers to function.
Btw a 10kw solar system ( enough to run your house ) has gone from the $17 k I paid in 2019 to the $5.5 k I am paying today.New system has half the panels ( 16 x 600 watt v 32 x 300 watt) and 2 lithium batteries instead of the 32 lead acid we have at the house. Plus an app for monitoring etc. it will cost just one years electricity bill to convert the whole place to solar power. We will do that over the next 18 months.
