Well it’s worse in Britain… Between 2020 and 2026, the UK saw a sharp surge in reported disabilities and related welfare claims. Total Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claims surpassed 4 million by early 2026, up from roughly 3.5 million in 2020. Overall self-reported disability prevalence reached 16.8 million people (25% of the population).
