Drive Russia out of East Ukraine? Never going to happen. Historical connections, elections held (Dombass etc), so much blood already given, proven track record of EU election cancelling if it looks as though their preferred candidates are going to lose expansion, etc. And it's not nonsense to imagine the EU is happier to perpetuate conflict rather than get its house in order. Thy don't want Russian gas, they want EDF etc.
