They'll be telling us the pope was a saint next. (although I do think it's good the christian world has something to rally around in the light of so much islamic head chopping etc. but as ever when you mix religion and politics you get back to where you started., nothing but a fight for power and control, can be dressed up behind religion as well, for if you say enough hail marys or kill enough infidels allah and jesus will forgive all sins. I've got a theory, it's not a new one, religion has become the root of all evil for people who count, call them 'influencers'. Of them, at the top, no more than 300 people (it's been estimated) decide where we're going/how to react/what's going to happen. These people may use established orthodox religion for a cloak of respectability, some may follow more pagen fundamental cultish ideas that can involve sacrifice and sufferance, They may believe in a spirt being who likes to cause trouble and strife etc. They may feel that the only way to salvation is through pain, etc. Why would this be surprising to anyone when we live in a world of unapologetic religious maniacs. Why is Christine La Garde let off and later promoted? Why do some decisions make no sense? Who decides? Why do people end up dead while failed german arms procurement ministers end up head of the unelected and unaccountable EU commission? Who decides how things play out, who chooses? We live in a world of the facade, and the world of behind the facade, where the pomp of the extraordinary (pope's funeral) somehow numbs us to the idea that ancient occult practices take place that don't make front page news because 'that would be ridiculous' as we watch something 'completely ridiculous with wall to wall coverage. Pray to god almighty to give safe passage to heaven and beyond for Pope Francis, then quickly get to vital meetings with arms, drugs and climate change manufactures asap to continue the war in ukraine forever, fight new cancers caused by ?? and fight climate change via crippling restrictions on movement, endless gubbins of billions spent on carbon sucking machines and spraying the upper atmosphere with sulphur and aluminium nano particles, because 'it's what jesus would have wanted?'
