Discovered this week that di missis has a worn out hip joint that will need replacing before long. Oddly little pain but she's started to limp. Says she's not aware of it. Did some research. My old man had 'em 40 or 50 years ago and it was proper major surgery. 12 inch scar. Long recovery. Now it's been much refined. Much smaller incision and much faster recovery. Can even be discharged same day in some cases. So I showed her a vid of a surgeon who offers the least invasive procedure (claims it can be done in 30 minutes) "Fuck that!" She says, "I'll hobble!"
